Cover scratch lost in the quieter image

We're keeping the actual accepted and scratched covers in the UR5e comparison. New lighting calms the bright band nicely, then loses the faint scratch. Less glare, less useful. Has anyone kept two views for this?

Two views are worth comparing if they reveal different required areas or defects; keep the physical references and the intended seating variation in both, rather than choosing each view from a different convenient sample.

Same two covers in both candidate views. One shows the face mark, the other the edge scratch. Quality says neither view alone covers what they need.

Are face and edge views both possible with the intended holder? Or are you holding the cover differently for the second picture? That's the bit I'd want the fixture person to see before the camera comparison gets too settled

Also try taking the cover out and putting it back. Not a heroic tilt, just normal reseating. My nicest repeat image was really a don't-touch-anything image.

Robin, yes, but let Grace answer Victor's holder question too. A second image that needs somebody's fingers under the cover is a different job.

Victor, it's supported by the proposed holder in both, no hand propping it up. Robin, repeated reseats are on the comparison sheet. We hadn't included removal between captures until now.

Who chose the accepted and rejected examples? Two physical covers give you a useful starting comparison, but normal finish variation and a different reject location may change which view earns its place.

Priya's point hurts my tidy two-photo plan, but yes. Do the duller accepted ones still look acceptable in both views?

Quality picked the first pair. They've added duller accepted covers and a rejected scuff by the other hole. Camera engineer is comparing the same set, not swapping samples when a view struggles.

What will the application show if one required view is missing? Worth asking now, while two-view means a proposed inspection rather than two attractive files in a folder

Comparison done with quality: both views together retain the required marks across the selected finish and reseating examples. Either view alone misses a reject. We've chosen the two-view arrangement for development, not a threshold from the original band labels.

Victor, a missing required view will stay incomplete. Controls has that requirement. Thanks for raising it before somebody called the remaining picture a pass.

Good to hear why the second view stayed. I'd keep those missed-reject examples in the design note; otherwise someone will offer to simplify it later.
