Our FR10 identity check changes with the laptop dock

Our workshop laptop retrieves the FR10 identity undocked but times out on its dock. Same script and approved controller endpoint. I need the network difference explained before anyone changes the controller.

Does docking add another network adapter with a route to the same address range?

Yes. The dock has Ethernet connected to the workshop network. The undocked check used the approved controller connection. Our notes treated those as one arrangement.

Have your network owner compare the selected route in both states. Leave the controller settings alone.

And compare the address reached, not just whether ping answers.

The network owner found overlapping address ranges. Docked traffic selected the workshop route. They are planning a corrected laptop configuration; no controller change proposed.

That needs an approved network fix, not an operator remembering to unplug whichever cable looks spare.

Thanks for returning with the route finding. Will they test the normal docked setup afterwards?

Can the next person identify which socket belongs to which network from the bench labels? The route fix is one job, but those old notes could put somebody straight back into the wrong arrangement.
