One marked collar predates our UR5e gripper trial. The supplier still recommends softer pads from its photograph. How should we compare new damage, holding and release before buying a different pad?

Use identified collars with their condition recorded before and after the agreed handling comparison, with quality deciding how appearance is judged. Did the trial include release into your actual tray, or only lifting something for a picture? Softer isn't a complete handling plan.
