The delivered adapter has a locating boss where our approved fixture drawing shows a flat interface. Different suffix on its label too. I have left the tool unfitted. Seller says equivalent. What comparison should I demand without accepting their substitution as the starting point?
Ask them to identify the delivered revision and compare its interface with the confirmed drawing. Also ask how they will supply the agreed configuration. Equivalent needs an explanation, not repeated confidence.
Sent both questions. The photographs show the actual boss and label marking. I am not machining our fixture to accommodate it while they decide what equivalent means.
Who reviews any proposed alternative assembly for you? You need someone who can assess the fit and its effect on the intended task, not only compare two pictures.
Our installer and tooling designer are named. Seller supplied a delivered-revision drawing, but has not explained the difference or answered availability of the agreed adapter.
