Our proposed use for Fairino FR5 is machining fixture exchange with a cylindrical aluminum blank in a supervised machine tending bay, with 205 planned. The reach sketch suggests the fixture is accessible, but it includes neither the gripper body nor the open machine door. I need a fuller access check to inform our choice of arm.

Got measured outlines for the opening and gripper? An offline layout might catch what the reach circle misses.

Checked them. The approach clips the handle; the workpiece clears. No wonder my first sketch looked so reassuring.

Use that measured layout to review the complete approach and retreat offline. Include the tool, cables and service access, then ask the integrator to assess a revised mounting arrangement.

Our buyer says go bigger. Does that help, or just buy the same problem in a larger arm?

Going larger should open up mounting options. It might be the most straightforward option to explore.

The handle overlap gives us something concrete to fix. No assessed layout yet, so Fairino FR5 stays on the shortlist.

@EmmaArcher0376 The obstruction is a useful finding, even with the final layout still open.
