the fr10 route fits one hose arrangement and the quote names neither

Our FR10 unload comparison finally includes the complete held-blank tool, but the supplier offers two rear fitting arrangements and the returned route names neither; how do I stop purchasing treating that clearance picture as covering both?

Put the unnamed configuration back to the reviewer. Needs an identified assembly before its result can belong to either quote; I wouldn't choose by which picture looks closest.

Also ask which one the installer expects to service. We once had two mechanically interchangeable bits with very different access once fitted; stores saw alternatives, the person doing the change saw a long afternoon.

Reviewer confirms the straight rear fitting was modelled, while the quote's default is the side fitting; purchasing has stopped describing the route as checked for the quoted tool.

Where does the straight fitting go when the fingers open?

And who owns comparing the side fitting, Toby Carter, since the quote still includes it and somebody needs to return an actual answer rather than another optional drawing?

Oscar, the returned route includes opening and the empty return for the straight fitting; Toby Bell, our lead integrator owns the side comparison and the setter is checking access alongside it.

That answers the assembly confusion. Thomas's service point still matters even if the straight option clears the whole movement.

Henry, yes. I'm not arguing the straight one fails, just that the person replacing it shouldn't discover the access problem after purchasing has congratulated itself.

The setter has flagged that the straight connection crowds the fixture-change opening; it is reachable for service, but the fixture cannot be withdrawn along its normal route with that arrangement in place.

So it unloads the blank and traps the fixture. Handy.

Keep the fixture change in the comparison cost, unless the side arrangement avoids it; dismantling tooling may be possible but it is not free changeover time.

I have asked for both candidates to include fixture change, not just the repeated unload; the side arrangement has not returned from review yet, so I cannot give it the win by elimination.

Fair enough. What does the setter call a normal fixture change here?

The fixture comes out onto its existing trolley through the open door, with its locating hardware left intact; that is the actual route now included in the two candidate models.

Side arrangement came back clear for the assessed unload, opening, empty return and fixture change; setter and maintenance have completed their access review, and purchasing has selected that identified assembly with the result attached.

Is the quote corrected too?

Yes, exact side-fitting assembly reference in the revised offer; thanks Oscar, I checked the offer before posting rather than assuming the drawing update had reached it.

Useful outcome. The cheaper-looking straight option would have hidden fixture-change work in someone else's shift, even though its blank-removal route was clear.
