We've 166 housings in the verification batch, but the restarted dashboard counts repeat inspections and now looks nearly done. I need one current accepted-item total while preserving failed checks and reviewed retries, not a cleanup that deletes the awkward history. What should the reconciliation use?
Separate physical item identity, inspection attempt identity and current reviewed disposition. Preserve every attempt, but derive accepted items from the applicable disposition of each identified item. Before using a distinct-label count, check whether labels remain unique through restart and whether any later review withdraws acceptance.
The old failed attempts are still available. I've grouped records by housing label, but reuse across restart hasn't been checked and some review decisions are in a separate sheet. So the grouped total isn't ready to replace the dashboard yet.
Have the disposition owner reconcile that sheet with the identified items and leave ambiguous links visible. Then replay repeated results and restart against the derived total. A repaired counter should not turn an uncertain record into an accepted housing just to make the batch arithmetic close.
