Watched. Fair question. I've asked maintenance to verify tray seating and the actual spacer contacts against the intended arrangement before treating that first impression as a result.
Check the complete finger assembly too. Pads, backing pieces and mounting matter. If one side was changed recently, compare what is actually fitted rather than accepting the replacement label as proof.
And inspect the identified spacers themselves. A change in their contact geometry can look like a grip problem even when the tray and fingers match their drawings.
Tray location and spacer dimensions checked correctly. Pads have the intended references, Aisha, but one sits farther forward than its assembled drawing position. Maintenance is checking the mounting beneath it.
A backing shim from an earlier repair. Not in the current assembly drawing. Maintenance found the repair note, but no record that this arrangement was accepted for our present spacer job.
Have tooling and maintenance settle that from the current job requirements, with controls reviewing the compensating edits alongside it. An old repair note may explain why the shim exists without making it applicable here.
Tooling confirmed the current specified assembly and maintenance restored it. Controls reviewed the edits before the controlled handling comparison. Pickup, transfer and release now pass with the identified spacer range.
Aisha, maintenance owns the restored assembly record with tooling's confirmation. The older repair arrangement is marked inapplicable to this job, not left as an alternative instruction.
And leave the original observation corrected in the handover: you initially thought the tray was square, then verified it. The measured check is the useful starting point for the next investigation.
