Our FR5 transfer looked better with the tray locator. Replacing the tray brought back a miss.

Was it another physical tray or the original tray taken out and put back? That changes what I would compare first.

Another tray. Same nominal type, no individual marks before this. I've marked them now.

Nominally identical trays are a generous bunch, check where the pockets actually sit from the locating edge before buying another locator.

Alex, also check that the replacement sat properly against the existing locator. A pocket comparison alone could miss something underneath the tray.

Yep, seating first; no point measuring from an edge that never met the stop.
