I checked the first housings from our FR5 transfer yesterday and they looked fine after a pickup adjustment. By lunch one was sitting crooked again. Maintenance has been moving the points a little each time this happens.
I went back through the shift sheets expecting to find a pattern, but the notes mostly say adjusted pickup and okay now. No tray number, no photograph of the grip. I'm not blaming the people trying to keep it running; I just don't want tomorrow's sheet to say the same thing. What should we inspect or record first?
Number the trays before collecting another run of notes. Doesn't have to be fancy. If two trays look alike and seat differently, 'tray unchanged' can send you in circles.
Exactly. Ours had a replacement insert nobody mentioned, because from the aisle it looked like the same tray. Not saying that's yours, but give the fitter a fighting chance
Who will own the check at changeover? We introduced tray IDs and nobody wrote them down after the first week. Put the field where the operator already records the job.
Once the mechanical checks are finished, have maintenance review the accumulated point adjustments against the intended setup. Otherwise yesterday's workaround can remain in the program after the condition it compensated for has changed.
