I taught our FR10 polymer-block sorting job through a full tray. Empty pocket appears and the operator calls me; interrupted run, same call. The sheet says check tray, which is not a decision. I need the awkward cases agreed before I rewrite it.
I would sit with the integrator and shift lead over one real interrupted example first. Have them say what is known about the source, destination and job state, then who handles the uncertainty. Otherwise check tray just becomes a longer sentence with the same missing decision.
We did that. Known empty pockets are allowed and skipped by the job. The unknown case is an interruption after pickup with no confirmed destination result. Current response is hold and call the shift lead; deputy now named too.
Did a covering operator read that distinction without you explaining it? Your regular person may already know what you mean by known empty, even when the sheet still leaves the evidence out.
Cover recognised the expected empty pocket. For the interrupted example she correctly held it, but the instruction did not say where the uncertain block should remain. Integrator and shift lead are completing that response. Handover exercise not signed off.
Useful catch. Does the support contact get enough information to distinguish that held example from an ordinary empty pocket, or will the first phone call start by undoing the distinction you just taught?
