Our UR5e carton pattern rotates the support direction without explaining why

I want packaging and tooling to review our alternating dispatch layer together, because the rotated shipping cartons cross gaps along their preferred support direction and a tidy outline tells me neither what bears the packed load nor how the hand gets out

Start with the meaning of that direction note for the actual packed carton, including its internal supports. It might be a defined requirement or an inherited packing habit. The tool designer needs bearing regions and permitted arrangements, not authority to interpret an arrow.

Packaging traced the arrow to the earlier insert design; our current insert supports the load differently, and they are assessing the rotated positions against the actual packed carton rather than treating that old note as a current restriction

Are the cartons already placed included in the tool-access view? A clear placement pose beside an empty pallet may not describe the last carton in the row.

Nadia's question is where I would connect the two reviews. Once packaging identifies the allowed support regions, tooling should show approach, placement and release with the actual neighbours in place. The sequence can matter even when every final position is acceptable.

Aaron, the current packed arrangement has now passed packaging's defined support assessment, with full and permitted short-order layers identified; Nadia and Jane, the tool model includes neighbours but the current order of placement traps the release space for the final carton

Then packaging's result is useful but does not approve that tool sequence. A reordered placement may preserve the final support arrangement, provided any intermediate layers also meet the agreed requirements; that needs checking, not merely running the numbering backwards.

I'd like to hear whether a sequence change is enough. That would be quite different from buying a new tool to solve a support problem the current pack no longer has.

The integrator has proposed filling the obstructed position earlier, and packaging has checked the resulting intermediate arrangements; the complete tool model now clears through release, with supervised physical checks scheduled on that identified sequence

Has the issued operator arrangement been updated too? A correct model and an old loading diagram could put the same last-carton obstruction back into the handover.

Yes, the issued arrangement and sequence reference are updated together, with the allowed short-order layouts shown; thank you Jane, that was part of the release check rather than something left for whoever prints the next sheet
