I've separated locating a mark from deciding it fails, but our trim-plate image set still labels moving bright streaks as scratches. We need quality's physical decisions and recorded imaging conditions before commissioning. What should link those jobs without turning every uncertain region into a reject?

Can quality judge each identified retained plate against the appearance requirement and locate the relevant regions, preserving uncertain decisions separately from confirmed accepted and rejected examples?

The retained plates are identified and quality has their inspection slot. Original captures and questioned captions are linked, with no confirmed status assigned just because we can point to the streak.

Once the decisions exist, will the imaging comparison use those same regions through the actual seating variation, including a confirmed defect which may become difficult to see?
