Request the complete package list too: controller, pendant, relevant cables, software access and documentation as applicable. A condition report on an arm does not establish what you will be able to collect and support.

And who supports it after collection? I would ask for the written terms, including what happens if the agreed acceptance evidence is not met, rather than infer support from refurbished.

They list replaced external parts but no associated service record. I've asked which work applies to this serial-numbered package.

Keep that distinction, and don't let a general motion video replace either the service history or the inspection scope; it can show movement without establishing condition across the intended checks.

The application still needs its own suitability and safety assessment. Even a well-documented refurbishment would not establish your aluminium-block tooling or complete bench design.

Ben, agreed, though Thomas can ask for equipment evidence before commissioning an application study. I'd avoid paying for a detailed tool plan around an unidentified package.

That narrows the equipment scope, not its present condition. Ask a qualified assessor what examination and documented checks are appropriate after that storage, with the seller agreeing access and responsibilities first.

A seller may decline further checks, but then the uncertainty remains part of your purchase decision. The attractive price cannot supply the missing evidence.

That is a purchasing decision based on unresolved evidence, not a diagnosis that this arm is faulty. Keep the correspondence in case they return with a materially different offer.
