Our FR5 proposal removes 48 rectangular polymer blanks from an enclosed machine. The fixture is inside the drawn reach, but the gripper body and open door are absent. What complete access comparison should I request before choosing the arm?
What geometry do you actually have for the installed machine? A catalogue opening and a drawn reach circle do not tell us where its parked door, handle or fixtures sit.
Catalogue outline only. Our fixture drawing is current, but nobody has surveyed the parked door against it. I will ask for that installed geometry to be included.
Bring the setter to that survey. I have been asking the same thing on our own proposal: the space the arm wants may also be the space needed to remove the fixture.
Yes, the tooling supplier can provide the proposed adapter, gripper, fingers and held-blank outline. Connections are not yet laid out. I've made that omission visible in the request.
Include the relevant loaded-tool data as well. Even an assembly that fits geometrically still needs checking against the robot limits for the intended movement, with its centre of gravity and inertia considered.
Theo, agreed. But keep the access drawing legible for the setter too. They should not need to find ordinary fixture-change space buried in a payload assessment.
Only the fixture pose. The integrator now has both paths in the requested review, with the door and connections included. No result yet, and the arm choice remains open.
The setter also needs the fixture lifting point accessible during changeover. That came out of our discussion, Luis; it was not marked on the supplier's outline. Thanks for bringing them into it early.
