Another pickup tweak, same leaning sleeve. It starts tipping during closure. What should maintenance compare first?

We found a contact insert seated badly on a similar transfer, despite the tray being correctly located. Compare the fitted inserts and their seating with the intended arrangement, then observe which sleeve contact changes first during closure. Keep the point edits available for the maintainer too.

One insert rocks on its backing. Maintenance removed the tool from use; the tray reference check passed.

Have them check why it rocks before ordering another insert. A sound contact sitting on a damaged backing can make the replacement look guilty too.

Backing has a damaged locating edge. Replacement assembly is being checked, not just another contact pad.

That explains a mechanical defect worth correcting. The later comparison should still include the receiving tray; a straight grip can release awkwardly if the accumulated pickup changes remain unsuitable.

Has the maintainer reviewed those edits against the repaired assembly yet?

Yes. Pickup is square again; release catches the receiving pocket. Receiver check still outstanding.

Keep that failed release in the handover, Elliot. Whoever takes over should not hear repaired tool and assume the whole transfer is ready.
