Unverified scratch labels on our FR10 bezel examples

Already know to retain bad imaging conditions as challenge cases, not tuning truth. My new FR10 bezel references have moving bright streaks labelled scratches. Before commissioning, who should settle the physical labels and how do I connect that decision to repeatable presentation?

Has the person responsible for accepting the bezel examined the same identified pieces independently of these camera images? That gives you a physical decision to connect to the presentation record, rather than asking the imaging setup to certify its own labels.

Not these pieces. Quality has agreed to examine them, but no labels confirmed yet. I've separated the suspect images and kept their part identities and presentation notes; tuning remains on hold.

After that examination, retain examples of acceptable surfaces as well as confirmed defects. Ask imaging to demonstrate repeatable interpretation of those identified pieces under the agreed conditions; a single attractive image will not establish the reference set.
