Was that bench panel supported by anything besides the vacuum tool? I would ask for the actual setup first. The support could explain why the report says nothing about flexing.

Does their proposed scope include the panel condition after release? A tool can hold vacuum while leaving the thin panel bent. I would keep panel quality separate from the single-panel finding.
It now does. They assessed retained panels through the proposed supported transfer and found unacceptable permanent set near an edge after release. We've rejected that tool arrangement. They haven't demonstrated stack separation, and we're not funding a second design until they explain what would change.
