Empty pocket instruction with nowhere for uncertainty to go

After finding our saved pocket ahead of the physical block, I went back through the FR5 training sheet. It tells people how to start, and then says check tray after a stop. We can have an empty source pocket without knowing where the block ended up. That's the bit everyone rings me about. I don't want another page that assumes the operator can reconstruct everything by looking at the tray. What should the handover say when the tool or destination state is still uncertain?

Who is allowed to decide that uncertainty is resolved? I would name the handover point before describing any next action. I do not know your cell's approved recovery method.

Shift lead owns the escalation, but the sheet doesn't say it. At the moment people call whichever name they remember from training, which is usually mine.

We had a contact list beside a screen that only said stopped. Staff could find the right person but could not tell them what was uncertain. The next revision needs both pieces, not just a new phone number.

And the approved method must distinguish confirmed empty from unknown, otherwise the trainer is being asked to supply information the interface has never established.

Emma, did you use separate messages for the unknown locations or one message with details?

One summary with the unresolved locations underneath. Easier to read aloud to maintenance. That suited our screen; separate messages might work on another one.

I can take that wording idea to the controls review. Our draft already marks source, tool and destination separately; the operator page never showed those distinctions.

Have the shift lead try an unresolved example using only the proposed page, because knowing the underlying design can conceal a missing explanation.

Please post where they get stuck. I am interested in whether the details help them ask for support, even before the revised screen is available.
