We fitted a locator for our FR5 spacer-block transfer and the first tray behaved better in the supervised checks. Swapped trays and got another miss. I want to keep the useful result, but not tell purchasing we've solved replacement trays. What would you call this in the update?

Name the tray that improved and the replacement that missed. Then say interchangeability remains under investigation. You can credit the locator without making the next operator inherit a claim that every tray is now reliable.
