I want the physical faceplate beside the image before we call its moving bright streak a scratch. Our commissioning folder has three captures with different arrows, and the person making the captions never handled the part. What should I ask quality and the camera specialist to establish together?
Start with the retained plate's identity and have quality examine those indicated areas. If nobody can link it to the pictures, that's the first problem. I wouldn't order more camera kit to compensate for a missing sample reference.
The reference is readable in the original captures and matches the retained plate. Quality already has it; I should have said that. Their examination of the arrowed areas is the bit still missing.
Keep an accepted finish example alongside any actual reject they find. I cannot tell from one bright plate which surface variation your process allows.
And withdraw the unconfirmed labels from the shared commissioning set, Mei, because the next person will read scratch as a judgement even if you personally meant possible scratch.
Quality accepted the arrowed plate and supplied an identified reject with a small groove near the same edge. The original labels are withdrawn. Camera specialist is comparing both parts over the intended presentation range.
Not with the first lighting setup. The groove disappears into the bright edge band at one extreme. The specialist has proposed a revised light position and is checking that against the complete required view.
Keep access for cleaning and resetting that light in the layout review as well, Mei; somebody eventually has to reproduce the attractive bench result without the specialist standing beside them.
