Housing grip losing its square seating

I've watched our UR5e pickup points accumulate little corrections on the shared tray station. The polymer housing now sits visibly askew in the fingers, although I can't see a change in the tray. I'd like to inspect the handling hardware in a sensible order before we give the program another correction to remember.

Can you see it tilted before the fingers close? That would narrow things down.

Save the current points first. Then maintenance can inspect seating faces, finger condition and attachment under the proper isolation procedure. Otherwise the next shift inherits a mystery adjustment.

Jasper, I'd include the tray locators in that inspection. Looking stationary is not the same as seating consistently.

Sara, the tilt becomes obvious at closure. I haven't got a useful before-closure view, so I can't honestly say it starts there. The current points are saved.

Then don't call it a gripper fault yet. You've only found where you notice it

Agreed. My inspection list wasn't a diagnosis (should have said that). Compare identified housings too, so changing parts doesn't muddy the observations.

Maintenance found debris on one finger seating surface. They've dealt with it and checked the attachment; a housing sits more squarely now, but we still have those accumulated point changes to assess.

Who owns that assessment? Please don't leave operators choosing between the saved version and the adjusted one during production.

Our maintenance lead owns the controlled comparison, Chloe. Thank you for raising the version choice; both files were about to go into the same handover folder without a clear instruction.

Did the tray inspection turn up anything, or was that part still waiting?

Nothing obvious at the tray locators, Sara. We haven't demonstrated consistency through a full changeover yet, so I'm keeping the job open despite the improvement at the fingers.
