I requested a full-stack support review, including the proposed finger spaces, and packaging noticed that the drawing uses our old carton construction. The current sealed carton has different internal supports. The outside dimensions are unchanged, so every layout picture still looks convincing. I'd rather compare the current samples with the existing options before anyone redraws the whole station.
Put an old and current packed sample beside the same layer section first, if both are available. That should make the changed support visible without another complete layout drawing.
We have one retained old pack and current production packs. Packaging has marked the internal support positions on both constructions. The turned positions are where the differences matter.
Does old stock still go through dispatch? If it does, the changeover between constructions belongs in the plan too. Outside dimensions staying the same makes it easier for someone to select the wrong pattern without noticing.

Fair enough, no two-construction changeover then. I'd still give receiving a way to recognise the current construction, since the outside size won't tell them if an old specification arrives later
The purchase specification has a construction code. Receiving checks that code on the supplier label. I have added it beside the current sample identity in the review.
Keep the first comparison small, Nora. Two affected positions and their tool clearances can expose the immediate problem; packaging can then assess any revised option across the full stack.
Sarah, the quotation names only the outside dimensions. We are correcting that scope before accepting it. Packaging also wants a changed layer option reviewed, so the present count stays provisional.
