Both quotes count only our cast housing. What should include the extended fingers, adapter and hose fittings?
On a tooling change we had a perfectly accurate part weight and no useful description of the assembly behind it. Ask each supplier for the complete proposed loaded tool, its mass distribution and operating conditions assessed against the manufacturer's limits for that configuration. Include the geometry and service fittings, with whoever owns that assessment named. A payload total alone will not compare those extended fingers.
