Our FR10 carton pattern needs a finish for small orders

Could you finish each order on its own pallet? Less elegant, but worth costing before inventing a part-pallet storage job.

Then don't charge this comparison for an invented mixed-order buffer. Ask dispatch which actual order sizes the finish has to cope with

Dispatch supplied the order sizes and the integrator's new finish shows the last carton without a turn, though collection still shares the empty-pallet delivery space.

That shared space would bother me more than a few unused carton positions. Who fetches empties while the finished pallet is waiting?

Sara, agreed about the collection conflict. Daniel, the short-order finish still needs its own handling assessment; fewer cartons doesn't automatically make the tool withdrawal easier.
