Our UR5e moves the pouches fine once I've flattened and arranged them, but I'm now making little presentation inserts for every product change, which wasn't exactly my plan for reducing work

Count that insert work in the comparison, including your time fixing it when you're supposed to be doing something else. Could one stable pouch size still be worth keeping?
