I'm a lab technician looking at sample handling. Trying to decide what we'd need to keep track of when holders are reused. Would you give each holder a permanent identity as well as recording the sample currently in it? I can see the attraction for checking a damaged holder later, but I don't want to build a miniature paperwork department before we've chosen the job. Interested in what people actually need to look up.
