Cannot select our FR10 pattern around a support sheet nobody stocks

We have a lower-count straight arrangement. Packaging has its section and tooling has the same version. The sheet supplier enquiry is still open.

Did anyone specify that sheet from an actual product, or is it an ideal material someone drew? We had to settle that before our own comparison stopped drifting.

Also check partial builds. The complete straight layer may support cartons differently from a short order stopped midway.

I'd give the supplier enquiry a sensible decision point, not let it hold the whole exercise indefinitely. But price the extra pallet movements on the straight option too. It has its own inconvenience.

Elliot, packaging named a material specification but no supply product. Lin, dispatch is costing actual orders. Hana, partial builds are included. We agreed to decide after those returned checks, rather than keep extending the sheet search.

That is clearer. Could a different available sheet be assessed, or is the required support very particular?

Any substitute should go back to packaging and tooling as a changed candidate. A similar-looking sheet could change both support and the way it is handled.

Packaging will assess an available alternative. Tooling says its handling method also changes with that sheet. We have not put its lower material price straight into the original proposal.

Good. A cheap sheet plus a new feeding job is not necessarily a cheaper sheet option.

Who replenishes the proposed sheet supply during ordinary operation?

The packer, with a separate stack at the station. Dispatch included replenishment and the extra movement in the labour comparison. It is not covered by the original robot cycle time.

Any result on straight-row support yet?

Packaging accepted its support for our packed carton and assessed builds. Tooling confirmed withdrawal with the proposed fingers. The available-sheet alternative still has an unfinished feed arrangement.

How much worse is the straight option on actual dispatch work, rather than cartons per layer?

More pallets on our larger orders, but less intervention on short orders. Dispatch says the total work is manageable and has included the freight difference.

Then you have a complete candidate to decide on. Do not let an unfinished higher-count option keep its nominal cycle time while leaving its operator work blank.
