The bezel scratch moves when I reseat the same part

I am preparing UR5e inspection examples for our students. A bright line crosses one aluminium bezel in the first image and moves towards the rim when I reseat it. Both images have been marked scratched. I kept the bezel, but no one has checked its surface yet.

Have quality examine that bezel before keeping either scratch label, and retain the seating views too because they may explain why the line moves without telling you whether the part is acceptable.

Quality accepted the physical bezel under their inspection method. I removed both defect labels from the teaching set. The line is still useful to show the students, just not as a confirmed scratch.

That sounds useful for teaching uncertainty, but do you also have a rejected physical sample to show what the intended inspection must find?

Not yet. We have photographs of rejects, but their parts are gone. I have asked quality to retain a current rejected bezel and explain the judgement with the sample in front of us.

Keep that request separate from the seating problem, Isabel, so waiting for a rejected sample doesn't leave the presentation differences unexplained.
