The removal sketch gets our brass blank past the mill door but leaves out the gripper. I want the complete loaded tool in the comparison before we choose the stand position.
Ask the integrator to use the quoted gripper, adapter and fittings with the blank, including the open door and its handle. Is the receiving tray included, or does the proposed route stop just outside the machine?
A wheeled bench raises a separate question: how is its working position defined? I wouldn't assume the same release point survives every time somebody parks it. That needs a locating proposal if it is to receive parts automatically.
Chris, agreed, although a fixed receiver might be another option. I would ask what the operator needs the bench to do before choosing either arrangement.
On our layout review, the trolley also carried finished trays to inspection. Fixing it in place looked easy until someone asked what replaced that trip. Esther, does yours have another job, or is it only moved for cleaning?
It carries the finished trays to inspection, Theo; integrator is comparing a located exchange trolley with a fixed receiver and separate tray transport.
The front stand position fails at the handle; a side position fits the complete loaded route and empty return, with both receiver alternatives still being compared.
Aaron's cover question belongs in the cost comparison as well; a workable trolley exchange can still depend on a second person being available at the wrong moment.
For the side position, include tool and fixture maintenance access before the comparison is final. A clear production route will not tell you whether a connection can be reached for replacement.
Both operators tried the proposed trolley exchange and prefer it; maintenance also accepts the side-position access, but the trolley locating detail needs another revision before we can release the layout.
What's wrong with the locating detail, Esther? If it's awkward to clean or tell whether it's seated, the cover trial should include that rather than just an empty trolley rolling into the space.
