Which physical trim-plate mark do our FR5 scratch labels describe?

Our reference folder has a scratch label on a bright streak that changes position when the stainless plate is tilted. I can trace the captures to one retained sample. I can't trace the defect judgement to anyone who examined it. What should quality establish before this reaches threshold tuning?

Have quality inspect the labelled region on that retained plate. Start there.

They've examined it. No scratch at the arrow, but a real mark near the fixing hole outside the crop. I hadn't expected both problems in one sample.

Keep the full image with the close-up. We had a reject taught from the wrong end of a part because the crop removed its identifying feature. Ask quality to mark the actual defect region on the identified sample view.

And remove the old crop from the lesson, not just from the programmer's folder.

The real mark also needs to be in the camera's proposed inspection area.

It isn't. The quoted view excludes the hole edge. Quality says that edge is part of the required cosmetic inspection, so I've returned the scope to the supplier rather than asking for a nicer threshold.

That may mean an additional view or a revised presentation. Let the camera specialist propose it against the judged sample. The rest of the required surface still needs coverage if they move the view.

Old lesson image withdrawn. Full sample view and quality's marked region now accompany the request. I don't know yet whether the supplier can cover both areas with its proposed arrangement.

Put that unresolved coverage on the teaching plan too; otherwise somebody will teach the old view while purchasing waits.
