I'm reviewing a dispatch pallet arrangement where rotated cartons sit partly over gaps in the lower layer. Their internal end supports aren't shown on the tool drawing. I want the filled-case support and gripper access assessed together. What should the combined view include?
A section through the filled cases and both layers, with packaging's required contact areas, plus the open tool during placement and withdrawal; the neighbouring cartons already in place need to be shown for that sequence too
Packaging has marked the end supports. Integrator is adding the tool and sequence to the same revision. The original drawing had only closed fingers at the final position.
Does the integrator have the actual packed-case construction, Rachel, rather than just the box dimensions? A contact area can move in a sketch much more easily than it can in a filled carton
We're comparing a similar issue on another UR5e pattern. Keep an aligned-layer option available if packaging rejects the rotation, but check its tooling and dispatch costs too. Fewer cartons might help one problem and create another.
Will, actual filled-case details are included. Julia, aligned layer is now a candidate and dispatch is pricing the lower count. Thanks for naming the tradeoff; I had only asked about grip clearance.
