Our anodised sleeves have visible bands after the bench trial and the supplier wants to change pads. How do I compare that sensibly when nobody agreed an appearance check before handling?
Have quality define the appearance method and check identified sleeves before another trial. Keep the same pieces through holding and release, including the receiving nest. Softer contacts may be worth assessing, but they should answer a real requirement rather than an unexplained band.
Quality found the band on untouched incoming sleeves and accepts it under the finish requirement. We've paused the pad change and are planning a before-and-after check for any new handling marks
