Which FR5 bracket readings belong before the locator replacement?

Our proposal pairs released bracket failures with later passes, but the fixture locator was replaced between those groups. I have separated planned face machining from actual correction already. Now I need the groups linked to the fitted locator before anyone calls their difference a welding improvement.

Find the tool-change record and actual locator identities first. We've had a job sheet keep the same fixture name after bits underneath it changed, which made the old comparison look much cleaner than it deserved.

Maintenance has the replacement entry, but its date is not on the inspection summary. The old and new locators have different references, so I can divide the records once fabrication confirms which group used each.

Were the incoming brackets comparable too? Same revision and fit-up checks?

And are these the same brackets rechecked, or different brackets made later?

Different brackets, Henry. Ravi, same part revision but no paired incoming fit-up readings. I have removed the before-and-after claim while keeping the actual released failures.

That leaves a useful question about the replacement without answering it: ask what was wrong with the old locator and whether the new one restored the intended position or introduced a different one.

Is the old locator still available?

Yes. Toolroom retained it and found wear on its contact face. The replacement matches the intended drawing; the old inspection file never recorded the wear finding.

Do the released checks use the same feature and measuring support across both groups?

Keep the wear finding with its inspection date, Priya; unless someone measured it during those earlier brackets, you cannot assign today's worn dimension to every old part.

Ravi, the released method is matched. Lucy, agreed, the wear finding is dated separately. We are planning an ordinary observed group on the current fixture, with fit-up, seating and released checks linked per bracket.

Who is watching correction and reinspection if that group needs either?

Fabrication records the correction and quality records the later check, under the same bracket identity. Thanks, Henry; that stage was still only a general note on the first draft sheet.

Has the estimator stopped treating the locator replacement as proof that the new robot process removes correction? That is the claim I'd want off the buying sheet now.
