We are considering an FR5 for loading seventy short steel blanks. The reach sketch omits the gripper body and open machine door. It has proved that a point fits. I need an access review that includes the hardware we intend to buy.
Who changes the fixture on this machine? I'd have them at the access review, because the robot loading route and the human changeover route will be sharing that opening.
Our old proposed layout made room for the tool but left the setter carrying a fixture round the base. He spotted it immediately. I'd show your setter his approach with the actual fixture handling kit too.
And if a different base position is an option, compare it before buying a longer arm; more reach doesn't automatically untangle a bad approach to the door.
Moved the proposed base sideways and checked it again. That was possible in our room. We hadn't drilled anything, which made the conversation considerably cheaper.
Our updated model conflicts with the door at the original position. Designer is now comparing a side position. The setter says it may interfere with his fixture trolley.
Would a different tool orientation help at the original position? I mean as another option to review, if the tool supplier thinks the blank can be held appropriately.
Please include where the setter leaves the removed fixture in that review. Getting the trolley through is only half his changeover, if the old fixture then occupies his working space.
