I opened the loading model for our aluminium blank and the gripper has no air fitting. The actual fitting projects towards the machine door. Door itself is a simplified slab. We need a better comparison before agreeing the FR5 base position.
Get the supplier's complete tool outline and the measured door details into one model. A tidy simplified scene is useful until its missing bits become the clearance everyone relies on
Can maintenance get to the fitting in that arrangement? It is a cheap item until replacing it means stripping the tool. Worth having them look while tooling is drawing the route.
And let the setter see the measured door outline. Ours once described a handle as a minor detail, then discovered it occupied exactly the space somebody used while changing the fixture. Minor was doing a lot of work in that sentence.
It clashes on entry. Tooling proposes moving the fitting within a revised tool assembly. The integrator is also comparing another base position, so we have two options rather than an agreed fix.
I wouldn't accept the other base just because it avoids changing the tool. Put both costs and the access checks side by side. Otherwise the easiest drawing change can become the workshop's permanent nuisance.
Oscar, is the loaded exit included in both options? And Ben's service question is still a good one; the fitting won't politely wait for a convenient time to need attention.
Ben, maintenance can reach the proposed fitting and has reviewed the line replacement route. Fiona, loaded exit is in both assessments, still pending. Setter has rejected the alternate base position for blocking the fixture trolley.
