I've separated pickup from placement observations. This FR5 puck is already tilted in one tray pocket before contact. Which comparison should maintenance start with?
Compare the identified puck in that pocket and a known intended seating arrangement, then compare another identified puck in the suspect pocket. Include the insert, support contacts and drawing. Keep the program changes for the later review rather than adding another offset.
Give maintenance those exact parts and the insert together. Ask them to establish what prevents the intended seating, including anything behind the insert; the observation narrows the search but does not yet name the fault.
