We keep nudging pickup points when our Fairino FR10 setup gets unreliable at fixture-to-tray transfer with a machined aluminum puck in a compact parts transfer workshop. The tray looks like it's in the same place, but the grip seems less square.
I'm suspicious of all these tweaks. What should I inspect before blaming the arm or reteaching everything?
@FionaAli0238 Keep a copy of the current configuration and hold off on further coordinate changes. Under the appropriate isolation procedure, maintenance can use the observed rotation to focus inspection on tooling contact, mounting and tray seating.
I've checked the maintenance history and found a pad replacement preceding the initial pickup-point correction. That establishes a relevant sequence of changes to investigate.
@SarahBennett0763 Agreed, I called it too early. Treat the replacement as a lead; verify installation and contact condition alongside tray location before assigning the cause.
@PriyaCarter1003 On my own setup, we found worn contact surfaces and inconsistent tray seating together. Fixing only the pickup point made the symptoms move around.
For my setup, a documented reference configuration anchored the investigation while maintenance assessed individual conditions. Discovering wear didn't mean we automatically restored older pickup coordinates.

@PriyaCarter1003 I can see the angle change during gripping, but I don't have an accepted correction yet. The point tweaks are paused while the inspection work continues.
