Our bracket's best measurement was taken while it could not move

I found a photograph of our old angle bracket with the inspection gauge fitted while the assembly was still clamped. The final released check failed. Both appear in our FR10 fixture proposal under 'previous dimensional results', which is doing a heroic amount of work as a heading. How should I distinguish what each actually tells us?

Identify the measurement stage beside each result first. Was the released check before correction, and was it made against the same drawing requirement? The two pictures may be useful without supporting a numerical movement between them.

Released check was before correction. Same bracket and drawing revision, but a different gauge setup. I cannot establish the support arrangement from that photograph.

Then do not calculate movement from those readings. Ask inspection to identify the supports and method, while retaining the confirmed released failure as its own result.

And keep any correction after that failure in the process estimate. Otherwise the new fixture will inherit credit for a finished bracket that needed another operation.

Inspection found the released-check instruction and confirmed its supports. The restrained check was only a setup check, not the same dimension measured by the same method. Thank you, Nora. The proposal now says that.

Useful clarification. The current trial still needs its own defined fit-up, fixture and released-acceptance checks; those historical stages should not be merged again in the summary.
