Our delivered UR5e fingers differ from the sample trial

I have kept the supplied fingers uninstalled because their contact profile differs from the UR5e sample trial. The seller calls them equivalent, but has not shown our plastic samples through the replacement arrangement.

Ask for the complete finger arrangement and its resulting sample position compared with the trial setup. The profile difference may affect contact and tray access, so a loose finger photograph is only a starting point.

Ask about supplying the original set too, Theo; I'm still waiting on that route elsewhere, but it deserves an answer alongside the replacement rather than disappearing from the discussion.

Is the original set actually unavailable?

And are the samples in the trial identifiable as yours? The comparison needs to start with the actual arrangement and task you bought against, not just a similar-looking handling clip.

DanielChen, no availability answer yet. Reece, the original trial uses our identified samples. Rachel, I have requested the complete replacement arrangement and comparison.

Include the setup and spare instructions if the substitute is accepted later. I have seen a changed backing arrangement understood by the buyer but absent from the replacement guide the next person used.

Who owns checking those instructions against the actual fitted set, Isabel? Sales often sends whichever guide is nearest.

That should be the responsible technical owner with the installer, DanielArcher. Stores can retain the accepted references afterwards, but should not be left deciding whether a changed finger assembly is suitable.

We once had the control handover and supplier handover pointing at each other, so I would name the complete-tool support owner beside the proposed remedy now.

And price any extra setup work in the substitute route. It may be acceptable, but equivalent should not mean your staff quietly finishing a new tooling project.

Our installer will own the combined review with the seller's technical contact. They have the replacement drawing now; sample position differs, and release clearance is still being assessed.

Show the samples entering the tray and the fingers leaving it. A hold test over the bench cannot answer that release question, even if the contact itself looks satisfactory.

Stephanie, yes, with the actual tray geometry. The substitute's contact position is precisely why the previous successful release should not simply be inherited.

Did the original-set supply answer arrive as well, Theo? Otherwise you're still comparing a partly assessed substitute with an unanswered order line.

The seller says it can order the original set, but has not given an estimate for supply. Neither route is ready for a decision.

That is worth telling the teaching team explicitly. A newly named technical contact and a drawing can sound like the tooling issue is over when their practical session still has no verified arrangement.

They have that update. Original supply timing and replacement release assessment remain open; no fingers fitted and no independent handling session scheduled.

Keep the two routes priced separately when the answers return. Waiting may cost time, but an unpriced substitute can cost time as well as money.
