I'm using an old gusseted-bracket job to help plan our FR5 fixture review. The batch sheet says pass at welding, then the next operation checks a mounting foot and sometimes sends it back. I nearly taught that first pass as finished-part acceptance.
I'd like to find out what it really meant before we copy the old fixture arrangement. The people reading these sheets after me shouldn't need to know the workshop's private vocabulary.
Keep the meaning of pass open until that instruction is found. The sequence alone does not establish whether operation 30 accepted dimensions, weld appearance, or completion of work.
Dinesh, found the instruction. It checks weld appearance in the fixture. No released foot dimension. Nora, you're right that I had filled in that meaning myself.
Give stores that revision difference when they check the block. Otherwise someone may confirm the right inventory number without checking whether the tool suits the current part.
Has the current drawing owner identified the intended measurement support for G? That belongs with the new process review, even if the old block remains useful for understanding E.
I've asked. Nothing agreed for the new process yet. The old operator remembers checking released brackets on the block, then correcting some, but says the batch sheet doesn't distinguish which pieces needed it.
I've corrected the lesson: operation 30 accepted weld appearance, with the later released-part check still separate. New fixture decision stays open. Thanks Grace for the operation-number trail.
