Where should I look when our FR10 puck leans toward one finger?

I compared our old transfer clip with the current one. The aluminium puck now leans toward one finger before leaving the fixture. What should maintenance inspect before we keep shifting pickup points?

Start where it begins to lean: finger contact and the fixture seat, not a new destination point that hides the angle later.

Our spacer tips while one corner is still caught. Does your clip show the puck leaving its locating surface cleanly, or only the fingers closing?

It shows closing from the front. The rear contact is hidden. I have asked maintenance to inspect the actual fixture rather than judge that view alone.

Give them the old clip too. Not as a target pose to copy, just evidence that the same visible lean wasn't always there.

Same finger assembly reference, Zara, but one pad was replaced between clips. The maintenance entry does not identify the pad itself.

There's your missing reference to chase. Still inspect the seat; a recent pad change is a lead, not a confession.

Mei, exactly. I've seen people undo the latest repair because it was the only change somebody wrote down. The unrecorded things don't volunteer to be suspects.

Maintenance found the replacement pad is the specified part, but it is sitting over a fragment of old adhesive. The fixture contacts checked out. They are rebuilding the pad face using its assembly instructions.

That gives you a physical difference. Keep the puck from the complaint for the return check, not just the cleanest one on the shelf.

Pad rebuilt and pickup revisions reviewed. The supervised comparison includes the original puck and our normal size variation. All sit square in the grip again, but we found a scrape on one released puck.

Is that scrape acceptable under your part requirement, and when does it appear during the transfer?

Don't chase the scrape with pickup changes before you know where it happens. The straight grip and the surface mark can have different causes.

Quality rejects the scrape. Maintenance traced it to a damaged edge on the receiving nest; it appears during release, after the square pickup. That edge is being repaired separately.

The repaired nest has passed our repeated pickup-to-release check with quality's surface inspection, including the puck type that showed the scrape. Two physical faults found, both corrected. The handover names the pad preparation and receiving-edge checks.
