Cannot choose our UR5e bezel pads from differently cleaned samples

A previous soft-pad trial left us with cleaning work nobody had priced. Now our UR5e bezel comparison has another version of that problem: the supplier's sample was wiped before photography, ours was judged straight from the grip. Both show faint bands. I want one appearance method before another pad set is ordered.

Who decides whether wiping belongs in the acceptance check?

Quality. No agreed wiping step currently. Supplier's email just says cleaned, without the material or method.

Ask for those details before repeating it on your samples.

Our students once improved every sample by polishing it before comparison, which made a lovely display and a useless test; keep an identified as-handled example for quality to see as well

We have retained the as-handled bezels. I am asking quality to decide whether cleaning is allowed and what viewing conditions apply before the repeat comparison.

Have the same identified samples assessed for appearance before and after the agreed handling cycle. Include holding, transfer and release. Softer contacts that leave less visible marking still need to hold the bezel reliably and let it go at the tray.

And include any cleaning frequency in the proposed work, once the method is settled; an extra operation between every few parts could change your production comparison.

Luis, whole handling cycle is requested. Kai, cleaning labour stays unpriced and visible. I'm not repeating our earlier mistake by calling it occasional care and giving nobody time for it.

Any answer on what the supplier used?

They identified a wipe, but quality has not approved it for this finish. The supplier will repeat the comparison once that decision and the viewing setup are agreed.

Worth the dull conversation now, Zara; otherwise the first operator gets to discover which invisible cleaning step made the sales samples look so good.
