Our packers put a layer sheet between carton rows. The proposed FR5 pattern shows rotated cartons with nothing underneath their middle edges. Should that sheet be part of the support and gripper review?
Yes, include the exact sheet and how it is placed, though its presence alone does not prove it supplies enough support. Packaging needs to assess the loaded arrangement and the integrator needs to know whether the sheet obstructs the planned tool movement.
Thanks. The sheet sticks past one edge on the current manual stack. Integrator had assumed it stayed inside the carton footprint, so we've got a real detail to review.
Show the placement variation your packers actually see, not just the nominal centred sheet. The automated process will need an agreed way to control or detect an unsuitable position before that overhang becomes somebody else's fault during a stoppage.
We found overhang with a full-size cardboard tool outline before paying for a change. Useful geometry check, but it did not establish the loaded stack's strength.
