FR10 layer review: what belongs on the same drawing?

Different packing line from my earlier sheet question; these component cases bridge gaps after rotation. I want support and tool access assessed together before pricing an FR10 pattern. Which views should I request?

On a previous review, transparent layer overlays made a misleading top view much easier to question. Request adjoining layers with the required support regions marked, plus sections where those regions cross gaps. The packaging reviewer still has to judge what the filled cases can tolerate.

We have top views only. I'll ask for the support markings and sections

Put the tool opening and withdrawal beside those sections too, otherwise someone will fix the support by closing a gap the fingers needed

Is the actual tool decided? A section with a convenient imaginary finger won't settle much.

No. Two concepts, both preliminary. I'll have them identified as such

Has anyone suggested changing the case itself? If so, keep that option separate from moving the present case. Purchasing would need to know which component orders could actually use the new packaging.

MinaArcher, would you ask for a whole second pattern now, before packaging has explained the current support requirement? That sounds like quite a bit of work on an option they may not need.

No, I meant establish whether that suggestion exists before it disappears into the price. A second full design can wait. A carton change is not something the drawing supplier should quietly assume purchasing can absorb.

There is a larger-case suggestion in an email. Not on the drawings. I'll pull it out as a separate assumption

That was worth asking, then. Does it apply to all the components or only the regular order?

And check which case their sample tool drawing uses, because if it's the proposed bigger one your current-case access question may still be sitting there unanswered
