cups held the panel, paper came too

Our FR5 tooling demonstration lifted an access panel with its paper interleaf still attached underneath. The quote calls this a successful separation test. How would you challenge that without pretending every paper sheet will behave the same?

Did the video show the stack before pickup and the underside after release? A sheet hanging from an edge is different from one completely hidden between two panels. I would first establish what they actually lifted.

One metal panel, one paper sheet. They showed the underside afterwards. No double metal panel in that particular lift

Then their demonstration delivered an extra thing. Doesn't matter that it isn't metal. Who removes that paper in the process they quoted?

We had separators cling to a part and then drop beside the next station. Not every time, naturally. Just often enough that the person feeding it became a paper collector with another job attached.

Ben's question could change the scope quite a lot. A separate de-papering step might be sensible, but it needs to appear in the proposed process, not become an unmentioned operator task.

Yep. I wouldn't insist on making the robot do it. I would insist someone prices the job that actually needs doing

Toby, would you ask for all the paper types? Our purchasing lot thought they were identical until I put two on the desk.

Representative supplies, including the variation you really receive. Not a collection of arbitrary paper. Was yours coming from different suppliers, Rosa?

Same supplier. Different deliveries. That's as far as we got with it.

Ben, removal isn't in their scope. Toby, our incoming pack specification doesn't identify the paper either. I'll put those two gaps to purchasing before asking for another demonstration

Ask who deals with a loose sheet too. Getting it off the panel and getting it out of the work area aren't necessarily the same job.

Thanks Rosa, the changing deliveries hadn't occurred to me
