I've kept the fitted pads and tray identity for our FR5 sleeve problem, but our useful-looking clip only starts after the fingers have closed; can I ask maintenance to include the sleeve's starting support and first contact before we retain another pickup edit?

Yes. Include fingers and mounting too, and preserve the edits for comparison with the actual mechanical findings.
