Identify the plate and get quality's physical-surface decision, then have the fixture seating checked before comparing lighting. Otherwise each new picture changes the presentation as well as the supposed defect

Quality accepted it. Fixture designer found two possible seats against the rim and is reviewing clearance.

Keep both observed seats in the comparison with an identified reject. A revised nest needs to improve consistency without hiding the surface feature the inspection must detect
