I've got approval to price an FR5 trial loading our moulded mounting blocks, but the sheet only has the arm and fingers on it. Someone still has to make the nests and bring it a tidy tray. Me, probably. I want a small trial, I mean genuinely small, not a cheap-looking one that borrows everybody's time. What would you insist it includes?
We once finished a lovely trial and discovered only its author could change the tray. Budget the fixtures, preparation and a handover to somebody else as actual trial work. I'd choose one block variant and one agreed incoming condition, then count the attention it needs to finish that job. A modest scope is fine; invisible labour is a pain.
