How should I teach a bezel inspection when the example labels disagree?

I am preparing an FR5 inspection exercise with bezel images supplied by another department. The bright band moves between views, but both views have been labelled as a scratch in the same place. I have paused that part of the lesson. Who should own the decision to relabel an example when students have already seen the earlier version?

Quality owns the physical judgement; the lesson owner has to correct the teaching material too. I've got a disputed bezel pair myself. Keeping the earlier label marked as disputed seems more honest than silently replacing it.
